Artist's Statement:
"Over Lordsburg" is dedicated to the memory of C.A. Lindburgh, who, at 7:45 AM on September 24, 1927 departed the Davis-Monthan Airfield in Tucson, in the "Spirit of St. Louis", bound for Lordsburg, NM on his goodwill tour of the United States.

To fly the southwest on bright days.... Warm, high sun pierces cockpit.... Is it a dream as I drift, or is it the panorama outside? Pastel brown; pale sepia; green irrigations; red mountains that have watched planes pass for decades over dry lake beds west of Lordsburg. "I've seen Lindburgh!" they say. "And Wiley and Amelia, too! They loved it, just like you."
